Renee Di Pilato is currently the Deputy Director for the Alexandria (VA) Library. Previously, she held positions at the Virginia Beach and Norfolk Public Libraries. In addition to an MLS from the Catholic University of America, Renee holds a Master's in Public Administration from George Mason University and a Ph.D. in Managerial Leadership from Simmons College. An active member of professional organizations; she currently serves as a Councilor-at-Large for the American Library Association and Chair for PLA's Leadership Development Committee. She was selected for ALA's Emerging Leaders program in 2008 and completed the PLA Leadership Academy in 2013. Renee is also a member of the Editorial Board for Virginia Libraries.
